Dorth Vader, a third choice in the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff, has made it to the world stage thanks to a series of correct decisions throughout her life. Bred by John Ropes out of Hardcore Candy and sired by Girvin, Dorth Vader overcame early foot issues to become a successful racehorse.
Named after Ropes’ wife Dorothy and the Star Wars character Darth Vader, Dorth Vader has impressed in graded stakes races, including a win in the G1 Ogden Phipps. With a dedicated team and a recent second-place finish to Thorpedo Anna in the G1 Personal Ensign Stakes, Dorth Vader looks to make her mark in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff.
